Your sailing paradise!
The Balearic Islands are an archipelago in the western Mediterranean Sea, near the eastern coast of the Iberian Peninsula. The four largest islands are Mallorca, Menorca, Ibiza and Formentera. It is a heaven for sailors. The archipelago forms an autonomous community and a province of Spain. The capital city is Palma. You can easily fly from anywhere in the world to the Palma airport. It is only a 20 minutes drive to the port.
4 islands, 4 themes
Each of these four islands, floating serenely in the glittering Mediterranean, could be said to have a theme. Mallorca is the senior island, combining a little of everything. Sailing in spectacular waters with beautiful scenery is one of them. The weather is good and the dining is yummy.
Memorable sailing holidays
In Ibiza you can combine your sailing trip with music, dancing and clubbing. However just like Menorca, Ibiza is a haven of tranquillity. Sail the splendid isolated coast line. Discover solitary beaches and beautiful coves. Tiny Formentera is a chill-out island where you can lose yourself for the entire summer. All you need is a good sailing yacht to keep you happy. Because the sea and sun are inviting you for memorable sunset parties.
Authenticity and intrinsic beauty
Discover this multifaceted paradise. The total population of the isles does not amount to a million, but many times that number are involved in a round-the-clock airlift and disembarkation of sun- and fun-seekers from Easter to October.
Surprisingly, the islands have managed to maintain much of their authenticity and intrinsic beauty. Beyond the resort hotels, bars and more popular beaches the sailor will find gothic cathedrals, Stone Age ruins, fishing villages, spectacular walks, secluded coves, endless olive and almond groves and citrus orchards. And a growing range of elegant, rural retreats and A-list eateries are attracting a range of visitors beyond the party package crowd. A warm welcome to Mallorca!
